Teaching a child to enjoy brushing their teeth is one of the small, important things a parent can do. The Valar Kids Bamboo Toothbrush is built with that in mind: a smaller head sized for children's mouths, extra-soft bristles that are gentle on developing gums, and a bamboo handle that children can feel good about holding.

We made the brush in two cheerful colours because children should feel ownership over their brushing routine. No scary chemicals. No plastic that sticks around for decades after a six-year-old is done with it.

Made in India. Plastic-free since 2021.

Handle material: Bamboo culm, sized for children's hands
Bristles: Extra-soft bamboo-fibre bristles, safe for ages 3 and above
Head size: Smaller head for proportional mouth fit and easier manoeuvring
Colours available: Blue, Pink
Includes: Free comic pack with each brush
Free from: Plastic, BPA, fluoride coatings, synthetic dyes
Packaging: Recyclable kraft sleeve
Replace every: 6-8 weeks, because children's bristles splay faster

Supervise: Always supervise brushing for children under 7.
Toothpaste amount: Use a rice-grain-sized amount for children under 3 and a pea-sized amount for older children.
Routine: Brush gently for two minutes, twice daily: morning and before bed.
After each use: Rinse the brush head well and store upright, head up, away from the toilet area.
Check bristles: Check weekly. If bristles start to splay outward, it is time to replace the brush.
End of life: Remove bristles and compost the bamboo handle.
